Refund & Cancellation Policy

Operator: Zhangjiajie China International Travel Co., Ltd (张家界中国国际旅行社有限公司), Licence ID L-HUN-08011.

Current status: The experiences on this website are currently shown for information only and are not accepting bookings. No payment is collected at this stage. This policy applies to all paid bookings once booking becomes available, and we will keep it publicly available at all times.

1. Cancelling by you

Cancellation takes effect at the time we receive your written request by email (support@travelchinavip.com) or WhatsApp (+86 181 5333 3141). The fee is calculated on the total booking price, by days before the first service of your itinerary:

Days before first serviceCancellation feeRefund
30+ daysNone (any third-party costs already incurred by us on your behalf are deducted at cost)Remaining balance refunded in full
15–29 days20%80%
8–14 days40%60%
3–7 days60%40%
Under 72 hours / no-show100%0%

These percentages are our standard default schedule and may be adjusted for specific products; the fee schedule shown on each bookable product page before payment always prevails.

2. Changes by you

Date changes and participant changes requested 15+ days before the first service are free of administrative charges; you pay any price difference from suppliers. Changes inside 15 days are treated as cancellation of the original booking plus a new booking, unless we agree otherwise in writing.

3. Cancelling by us

If we cancel a departure, you receive a full refund of every amount you paid, with no deduction. We will not substitute a different service without your explicit agreement; if you accept an alternative and it costs less, we refund the difference.

4. Force majeure

Where the trip cannot proceed for reasons beyond anyone's control (natural disasters, government restrictions, epidemic controls, etc.), both parties may terminate under Articles 65/67 of the PRC Tourism Law: we refund the fees you paid minus amounts actually and unavoidably spent on your behalf (e.g. tickets, permits, prepaid accommodation charged to us by suppliers). We will provide documentary evidence of these costs on request.

5. Refund method and timeline

6. No-show and early departure

No-show at the agreed meeting point, or leaving the itinerary after it has started, is treated as voluntary cancellation: no refund is due for unused services, and any additional costs arising are borne by the participant.

7. Visas and travel documents

We do not process visas. Visa refusal is not covered by force majeure; the standard cancellation schedule in Section 1 applies. Please confirm visa requirements with the Chinese embassy or consulate in your country before booking.

8. How to request

Email support@travelchinavip.com or WhatsApp +86 181 5333 3141 with your booking reference. We confirm receipt within 1 business day and the refund assessment within 3 business days.

9. Governing law

This policy and all bookings are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China. This policy is provided in English and Chinese; in case of conflict the Chinese version prevails.
